Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Gamintone MB ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you play Unlock: Master the Tension (the "Game") or visit this website (together, the "Services").
We are the data controller for the personal data we ourselves handle - the messages you send us, the purchase records Google Play makes available to us, our website server logs, and the gameplay analytics described below. The Game does not currently rely on servers of our own for gameplay, and we do not store your saved-game data. Google Analytics for Firebase, which we use for those gameplay analytics, processes that data as our processor, on our instructions. The other Google services the Game relies on (such as Google Play services, Google Play Billing, Google Play Games Services, and Google AdMob) act as independent controllers for the data they collect under their own terms; we do not control how Google processes that data. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws, you have rights over your data, which we explain below. We follow a principle of data minimisation: we collect only what is needed to provide and improve the Services.
Who we are
Gamintone MB, a company established in Lithuania. Registered office: Verkiu st. 39-176, LT-09109 Vilnius, Lithuania. You can reach us about privacy at support@gamintone.com.
Information we collect
When you play the Game
The Game uses analytics, described first below. We do not use analytics to identify you, and we do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. The Game also relies on other Google services, which collect and process certain data on their own terms:
- Game analytics. The Game uses Google Analytics for Firebase to record gameplay events - for example, your progress through levels, which upgrades you choose, and which items you use - together with the events the analytics SDK collects automatically (such as first opening the Game, session starts, time spent engaged with the Game, and app or operating-system updates). These events are linked to a Firebase app-instance identifier: a pseudonymous identifier created on your device when analytics collection starts, scoped to this app only, and not linked to your Google account or to your advertising identifier. It is cleared if you clear the Game's data or uninstall the Game. Google Analytics for Firebase also records your device model, operating system version, app version, and language, and derives an approximate location (country or region) from your IP address, which according to Google's documentation is not retained by Google Analytics for Firebase. We have turned off advertising-identifier collection in our analytics, and these events are not linked to any account identifier of ours. We collect gameplay analytics only from players who indicate they are 16 or older: for anyone younger, the analytics SDK is never started and no app-instance identifier is created. We use this data to understand how the Game is used and to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve it - including its levels, difficulty, features, and performance - and to produce aggregate statistics about our player base, never to identify you and never for advertising.
- Device, diagnostic, and usage data collected by Google. Through Google Play services and the Google Play Console, Google automatically collects technical information such as device model and operating system, app version, crash logs, and aggregated performance and usage statistics (for example, Android vitals). This helps the Game run reliably.
- Advertising data. The Game shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the advertising provider may process your device's advertising identifier and similar data. The advertising identifier is used for advertising purposes only; it is not used for our game analytics. Where required (including in the EEA and UK), personalised advertising takes place only with your consent; for users treated as children or of unknown age, the advertising identifier is not transmitted and only non-personalised, child-appropriate ads are requested. See "Advertising and your choices" below.
- Purchase data. If you make an in-app purchase, it is processed by Google Play Billing. We receive confirmation and a record of the purchase so we can deliver your item; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Saved game / progress data. If you choose to save and sync your progress across devices, this is handled entirely by Google Play Games Services using a player identifier associated with your Google account. Your saved data is stored in Google's infrastructure; we do not receive it, and we do not store it on any server of ours.
When you use this website
- Contact form. If you message us through the support page, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit, so we can reply.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (such as IP address, browser/user-agent, and timestamps) to operate and secure the site.
This website uses no cookies, no analytics, and no third-party trackers. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
How we use information and our legal bases
Under the GDPR we rely on the following legal bases (Article 6):
- To provide the Game and sync your progress - performance of a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in operating the Services.
- To process in-app purchases - performance of a contract.
- To show ads - where showing or measuring ads involves storing or accessing information on your device (such as your advertising identifier), we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We rely on legitimate interest only for advertising that does not require access to information stored on your device.
- To measure how the Game is played and improve it - where local law requires consent for storing or accessing information on your device (including in the EEA and the UK), we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by either of the routes in "Your analytics choices" below. Elsewhere, we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the Game, and you have the right to object to that processing at any time by turning Game statistics off in the Game's settings; if you do, we stop collecting gameplay analytics from your device.
- To keep the Services secure and prevent fraud and abuse - our legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations.
- To respond to your support requests - our legitimate interest in helping you, or performance of a contract.
- To comply with the law - compliance with a legal obligation.
We do not share your personal data except as described in this policy, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Advertising and your choices
In the EEA and the UK, before any personalised advertising, game analytics, or other non-essential data use takes place, the Game presents a consent request through a Google-certified consent management platform. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from within the Game's settings. If you decline, you will still be able to play; you may simply see non-personalised ads instead, and no gameplay analytics are collected.
Storing or gaining access to information on your device for advertising - including your advertising identifier - takes place only with your consent, unless it is strictly necessary to provide the game you asked for. For users treated as children or of unknown age, the advertising identifier is not used.
You can also reset or limit ad personalisation through your device settings ("Ads" / "Reset advertising ID" on Android).
Your analytics choices
You can stop gameplay analytics at any time by either of these routes:
- Game statistics - a toggle in the Game's settings, available in every country and switched on by default. Turning it off stops analytics collection; where we rely on legitimate interest, this is also how you object to that processing.
- Privacy options - reopens the consent request described above. This route appears where consent is required for analytics, which in practice means the EEA and the UK.
Where both apply, the stricter choice wins: turning Game statistics off stops analytics even if you have given consent, and it cannot switch analytics on if you have not.
Either change takes effect immediately, in the middle of a session, without restarting the Game. Events already prepared on your device before you made the change may still be sent by the analytics SDK, but nothing new is collected afterwards.
Your Game statistics setting is stored on the device only - it is not saved to your Google account and does not follow you. If you reinstall the Game or move to a new device, it returns to its default (on), still subject to the consent request above where that applies.
Who else is involved in your data
Other organisations are involved in running the Services. Some act as independent controllers of the data they collect; others act as our processors, handling data only on our instructions:
- Google (independent controller) - Google Play, Google Play services, Google Play Billing, Google Play Games Services, and Google AdMob. Google decides how it processes the data it collects under its own terms. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google's advertising partners.
- Google (our processor for game analytics) - Google Analytics for Firebase processes the gameplay analytics described above on our behalf and on our instructions, under the Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms. We have not linked our analytics to AdMob or to any other Google advertising product, we do not share our analytics data with Google for Google's own advertising purposes, and our analytics data is not used to personalise advertising.
- Our website hosting provider (our processor) - hosts this site and delivers contact-form email on our instructions.
- Other providers acting as our processors - from time to time we use providers in categories such as hosting, email delivery, and customer support, who process data only on our instructions.
- Business transfers - if we sell, merge, reorganise, or transfer the Game or our business, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. The recipient will be bound by this policy or one offering equivalent protection, and we will notify you where the law requires.
We may also disclose data where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Services.
International data transfers
Some of our providers (including Google) may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by an appropriate safeguard under the GDPR, such as a European Commission adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Support emails are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and our records; purchase and order records are kept for as long as required for accounting, tax, and support purposes; saved-game data is retained by Google until you delete it or your associated account; and data held by Google is retained according to Google's policies. Game analytics that are linked to an app instance (event- and user-level data) are retained for up to 14 months and are then deleted; aggregated statistics that can no longer be linked to a device or app instance may be kept for longer. Server access logs are typically retained for a short period (for example, up to several months) for security and operational purposes, then deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing that already took place). To exercise these rights, email support@gamintone.com.
You can manage or delete much of your data directly: in-app purchases and saved-game data through your Google account, and advertising preferences through the in-game consent settings or your device. To request deletion of data we hold, contact us at the address above and we will action it in line with applicable law. For step-by-step instructions, see Delete Your Account & Data.
Our game analytics are keyed to a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, and we hold no information that would let us connect that identifier to you, so we cannot find your analytics data from your name or email address alone; the law does not require us to collect additional information in order to identify you. You can still control this data. The practical route is to turn Game statistics off in the Game's settings - and, in the EEA and the UK, to withdraw your consent under Privacy options - and then to clear the Game's data or uninstall the Game: that permanently severs the link to the existing app-instance identifier, and the analytics data already collected is deleted at the end of the retention period described above. If you send app-instance identifier to us, we will delete, or arrange the deletion of, the analytics data associated with it; statistics that have already been aggregated cannot be traced back or reversed.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. In Lithuania, where we are established, the lead authority is the State Data Protection Inspectorate (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija, vdai.lrv.lt).
Children's privacy
The Game is not directed at children under 13 (or, where higher, the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. As a safeguard, we apply a neutral age screen; users who identify as being under that age are treated as children and served only non-personalised ads and age-appropriate features, as described below, consistent with the EU GDPR (including its protections for children) and the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
We never use children's data for targeted or personalised advertising and never share it with third parties for that purpose. No advertising identifier is transmitted for users treated as children or of unknown age; only non-personalised, contextual ads are shown. Our game analytics never use the advertising identifier for any user, and they do not run for children at all: gameplay analytics are collected only from players who indicate they are 16 or older, so for a user treated as a child the analytics SDK is never started and no app-instance identifier is ever created. We therefore hold no analytics data about children, and there is no analytics identifier for a child that could be used, shared, or profiled. Any personal data we do receive from or about a child - for example, a message sent to our support address - is kept only as long as necessary to deal with it and is then deleted.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us personal data, contact us at support@gamintone.com and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and rely on the security practices of Google and our hosting provider.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Where a change requires your consent under applicable law, we will ask for it separately before relying on it.
